Person fatally struck by Amtrak train in Delaware County

A person was fatally struck by an Amtrak train Wednesday night in Ridley Park, officials said.
About 6:50 p.m., a person described as a trespasser on the tracks was hit by Train 148, traveling betwen Wilmington and Philadelphia. An Amtrak spokesperson said no passengers or crew members were injured and the train was back in operation about 8:15 p.m.
No further information was available about the victim.
