Donna Kelce is renovating her Florida home. But if you’ve been on social media at all this week, you probably already know that.

That’s because the seemingly mundane news about the NFL mom’s two bed/two bath space has taken on a life of its own — with a big heaping spoonful of sarcasm.

It all started on Saturday when TMZ first broke the news. The straightforward article was presented as a “TMZ exclusive” and said that Jason and Travis Kelce’s mom was giving her Orlando pad a “glow up.”

“The documents show Donna’s hired a company to replace 9 windows and 6 doors at the home,” the article said. Riveting!

TMZ posted the article on its X account shortly after publishing its story. That’s when the chaos was unleashed.

Perhaps it was the way the celebrity gossip outlet presented a home-renovation project as something groundbreaking. After all, TMZ is the same source that’s been covering Britney Spears’ recent arrest and the search for Nancy Guthrie ad nauseam.

Or maybe it’s propelled by a need to laugh at something silly amid an especially tense political climate.

But for whatever reason, the internet latched on, with one personality calling it “the biggest meme of the year.” Users reposted the original TMZ article, intentionally overdramatizing and satirizing the news, likening it to a major historic event. The initial X post has been viewed more than 28 million times.

“I thought I would never live to see this day!” one user wrote. “Human history will be divided into before and after this moment,” said another.

Here’s a look at some of the top posts poking fun at the Kelce home-improvement news:

Just shy of the 48-hour mark, it’s safe to say the memes have officially hit the mainstream with companies like Chipotle joining in on the bit.

The Inquirer reached out to Donna Kelce’s reps for comment but didn’t hear back as of publication time.

Her son Jason had some thoughts, though:
