2 men killed in separate Philly shootings
The homicides occurred in South Philadelphia and Nicetown.
Two unidentified men were killed in separate shootings in the city late Monday afternoon and night, police said.
Just after 5 p.m., one of the victim’s was in the 2700 block of Winton Terrace in South Philadelphia when he was shot in the neck. He was transported by police to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and pronounced dead at 5:42 p.m.
Shortly before 9 p.m. in the 3900 block of North Smedley Street in Nicetown, a man was sitting in a silver vehicle when he was shot in the chest. Police took him to Temple University Hospital and he was pronounced dead at 9:19 p.m.
Police reported no arrests or other details in either case.
