Studebaker a YouTube sensation

Wheaton College linebacker Andy Studebaker was chosen in the sixth round of the NFL draft by the Eagles. YouTube videos arranged by his agent might have played a role in his selection.

It helps to have an agent whose wife is an Emmy Award-winning producer. At least for Andy Studebaker.

The linebacker from Division III Wheaton College was chosen in the sixth round by the Eagles at No. 203 overall, the highest for a D-III player since 2002.

Forward-thinking agent Josh Wright turned to YouTube to keep his client in NFL teams' thoughts.

"One of the things I've learned from doing this for 15 years is that teams have guys kind of in packs,'' Wright tells the Daily News' Paul Domowitch. "They've got comparable grades on them, comparable height, weight and speed numbers, comparable personality grades. It's critical that you give them something that separates your guy from that pack.

"It would be a complete fabrication to say the You Tube videos had any role in exposing Andy to NFL teams, because all 32 teams knew exactly who he was. But I do think it was a tipping factor at the end."

We posted the video of Studebaker's Pro Day workout the day after the draft, but will post it again here, along with another of Carol Wright's videos.
