Rock Club Alert: Union Transfer opens in September with Clap Your Hands, Wild Flag, Gillian Welch

There will be no more meatballs at 11th and Spring Garden: The long time in coming Sean Agnew, Avram Hornik and Bowery Presents music venue in the site of the old Spaghetti Warehouse will open September 21 with a show by partially Philadelphian former blog buzz sensation Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. (That's them, fronted by Alec Ounsworth, in the photo.) The rest of the shows announced today and on sale Saturday at Ticketfly and (with no sevice charge) at a.k.a. music are as follows:
