More details about Starr's project on Franklin Square
Burgers and hot dogs to start in mid-April; menu will expand in late summer.
Stephen Starr told me that burger prices for the burger shack he's doing at Franklin Square would not approach what he charges at his restaurants.
From what Starr associate Simon Powles says, that will be the case. Powles says the company is still developing the menu but generally speaking, burgers will start around $5 and a kosher hot dog will go for $3.75. The operation will start on a limited scale in a tent in midmonth and will be moved into a permanent structure at the end of the summer. At that point, the menu will be expanded.
