Restaurant notes: Starr's new pub will be called...
He's settled on a pun.
Stephen Starr will use a pun for the name of his forthcoming English pub, opening Dec. 19-ish, at the corner of 18th and Sansom Streets under chef Robert Aikens.
He's calling it The Dandelion.
But dispense with your notions of yellow weeds.
The logo will be a dandy lion -- as in a big cat dressed to the nines.
Staff is being trained at Washington Square.
