There's a new word that's popping up increasingly as gasoline prices nose their way above the $4 level, airlines tack on fuel surcharges, and the cost of almost everything else seems to follow gas.
It's "staycation," which means staying at home during your time off, hanging out at the community pool, taking day trips, having a lot of backyard barbecues, camping out in a nearby state park, or maybe just in the yard.
Have you decided that maybe this year you'll have to pass up that trip to the Carolina beaches, the Grand Canyon or the Maine coast? Instead, how about a visit to Marsh Creek State Park? And when was the last time you took the family to Independence Hall?
