Siyaya

Hopewell United Methodist Church in Downingtown will host the African American Group, Siyaya in their outdoor amphitheatre. The performing arts company, whose name means "we are moving," comes from Guguletu, South Africa. Siyaya will present an artistic music, dance and theater performance on the topic of HIV/AIDS to open minds and inspire hope. Peace Fair

Learn about local peace efforts and organizations furthering non-violent solutions to conflict at the Peace Fair sponsored by the Peace Center at Birmingham. Guests can relax in the Peace Garden, tour the historic meetinghouse and listen to live musical performances. Children will enjoy lots of fun activities, crafts and games . A native plant sale, book sale and attic treasures sale will raise money to fund a UN program to outfit former war zones with metal detectors to find dangerous leftover land mines. Choir Concert

Chester County Voices Abroad, an international performance group will soon be heading off to tour the Germany and Salzburg, Austria as "musical goodwill ambassadors." A farewell concert will take place to give the local community a preview of what beautiful music the 32-voice CCVA will be bringing to the churches along their tour. Call 610-436-5104.

Recent college graduates can learn valuable tips on library job search tools at a special program sponsored by The Chester County Library in Exton. During the "Where to Go When Google Doesn't Know: Job Hunting Tips for College Graduates" program grads will learn to use the library's business databases to narrow their search and find the type of company they want to work for based on geographic location, company size and other factors.
