Traffic slow this morning and snow tonight

This morning's light snow, which has made for slippery area roads, is just a taste of what's to come.

This morning's light snow, which has made for slippery area roads, is just a taste of what's to come.

Traffic on most major highways was slow due to the weather, and SEPTA commuter trains on the R3 and R5 this morning were slowed by a train collision.

The winter storm warning is in effect for the region from 4 p.m. today to noon tomorrow.

First, more snow should reach the region this evening, possibly bringing three to five inches to some areas.

After midnight, sleet and freezing rain should create a messy mix, creating potentially hazardous road conditions for the morning rush hour.

The system is expected to finish up with rain tomorrow, even though highs will only be in the mid 30s.

Eastern New Jersey should get less snow tonight, about one to three inches, with the least accumulation of snow and sleet along the coast.

The rest of the week through the weekend, no further storms are expected. Highs are expected to be in the 30s.

Meanwhile, the R3 to West Trenton and the R5 to Lansdale-Doyestown were delayed up to 30 minutes in both directions due to an incident near the Fern Rock Station
