Penn student jumps to death

PHILADELPHIA A 19-year-old woman who was attending the University of Pennsylvania committed suicide by jumping from a parking garage roof Friday evening in Center City, authorities said.

The victim, a freshman at the university, died after jumping from the garage near 15th and Spruce streets. Police said they had ruled the death a suicide but did not release the woman's name.
