Human remains found near South Jersey park

A man and his son found a skeletonized human leg, the top of a skull, and other bones near Camden's Pyne Poynt Park on Wednesday. Homicide detectives are investigating.

A skeletonized human leg, the top of a skull, and other bones were discovered on the shoreline of a North Camden park this week, authorities said.

A property owner and his son found the remains Wednesday morning near Pyne Poynt Park, which faces the Delaware River, and alerted authorities. The homicide unit of the Camden County Prosecutor's Office responded.

Investigators are trying to identify the remains, which will be analyzed by New Jersey State Police and the New Jersey State Anthropologist.
