Area residents appointed to Latino Affairs panel
HARRISBURG - Gov. Rendell has appointed 17 Latino community leaders to serve two-year terms on the Governor's Advisory Commission on Latino Affairs.
The commission's mission is to advance the economic, social services and educational interests of the state's 550,000 Latinos.
No new commission members are from the Philadelphia area, but those reappointed include Lisette M. Agosto Cintrón and Milton Velez of Philadelphia, Margarita Marengo of Bucks County, and Joseph E. Rodriguez of Montgomery County. For more information, go to
