On the market: A three-bedroom townhouse in Conshohocken for $515,000
The townhouse is near Conshohocken attractions and within easy driving distance of Center City Philadelphia.
Although home buyers often look for convenience, that has meant different things over the years.
For example, having an office right off the primary bedroom made working at home particularly convenient for Aditi Mohapatra after she and her husband, Sakya, bought a three-bedroom Conshohocken townhouse in 2018.
The couple cited convenience by numerous measures in their house choice before a job opportunity for Sakya, a biotechnology company scientist, meant a move to the San Francisco Bay Area.
Aditi, a supply chain consultant, even put a second office in the finished basement, which also includes a gym area and second living room.
The Mohapatras liked the idea of a kid-friendly two-level home, and they particularly liked Conshohocken’s central location.
“Every place is 30 minutes from here,” says Aditi, accessible to Plymouth Meeting and King of Prussia Malls and to friends in Center City, as well as the airport and major highways. Fayette Street, Conshohocken’s main thoroughfare, is walkable.
The house, which is in the Hillcrest Glen neighborhood of the borough, has three bedrooms and 2½ baths and total square footage of 2,211.
It has an open floor plan with hardwood floors throughout the first floor and a large dining room.
The newly renovated kitchen has white cabinets, granite countertops, and stainless steel appliances. The deck is off the breakfast room.
The second-floor primary bedroom has a vaulted ceiling, walk-in closet, and private office or nursery. The main bathroom has double sinks, a soaking rub, and a glassed-in shower.
The two other bedrooms are here, as well as a large hall bathroom and laundry room. The basement has vinyl flooring with ample storage space.
Updates include a new water heater, new gutter system with gutter guards and larger downspouts, and new carpet on the second floor.
Nearby is Colwell Park, with its running track, volleyball and basketball courts, and swing sets.
The house is listed by Jennifer Cheyne of Keller Williams Devon-Wayne for $515,000.
