Philly elementary school brings back the parranda Christmas tradition for first time since COVID-19

For the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic, the Hon. Luis Muñoz-Marín Elementary School held a school-wide parranda, a Puerto Rican Christmas tradition. A group of students walk to classrooms while performing a song. Then, as a group, the students continue to the next classroom. Each visit will grow larger as each classroom joins in until the entire group is performing together. The school began this tradition in 2013, but took a hiatus due to the pandemic.
