Condi Rice to address students in N. Philly today
Inquirer staff writer Kia Gregory reports:
Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will be in town this afternoon to talk to students at Bodine High School for International Affairs.
During a school-wide assembly, Rice will speak about her commitment to global education, and participate in a question and answer session from the student body.
Bodine, at 1101 N. 4th Street in North Philadelphia's Ludlow section, is a small magnet school operated by the School District and co-sponsored by the World Affairs Council. The curriculum focuses on global issues and foreign language studies.
Tonight, Rice will speak at the Park Hyatt Philadelphia at the Bellevue to launch a year-long series of events to celebrate the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia's 60th anniversary.
