A lifelong resident of Williamsburg, 51-year-old Louis Segna, has been charged with reckless endangerment, aggravated harassment and making false reports after allegedly calling 9-1-1 on Brooklyn hipsters more than 400 times over the past two years.
Authorities say that Segna was has spent the past two years calling 9-1-1 with his best "Get off my lawn" bits as hipsters reportedly talked and played music loudly outside of his building. Segna lives directly above the Swedish coffee shop, Konditori, so one would imagine he's heard his fair share of loud conversations about how Macklemore ruined thrifting for everyone by making it mainstream. There's no doubt he's heard that St. Vincent album a bajillion times. Oh, that's not hipster anymore? Well, Beach House then? Whatever. You get the point.
Segna allegedly fabricated stories about fights and shootings to get cops to his Williamsburg address quicker. On September 1, 2012, Segna reportedly called 9-1-1 to say that there had been an explosion at the Bedford Avenue subway station. [NY Post]
