Netflix inks deal for 'Breaking Bad' spinoff

The Breaking Bad spinoff set to let viewers in on the back story and slimy inner workings of Saul Goodman's life as a shady defense attorney will be available to stream on Netflix once the first season wraps up on AMC.

The Breaking Bad spinoff set to let viewers in on the back story and slimy inner workings of Saul Goodman's life as a shady defense attorney will be available to stream on Netflix once the first season wraps up on AMC.

Better Call Saul is set to premiere on AMC in 2014, but will be available for Millennials/cord cutters/people who can't spend a billion dollars a month on cable soon thereafter. The announcement isn't much of a surprise, considering that Netflix is largely credited with helping spread the popularity of the original AMC drama, touting Breaking Bad as one of its premiere offerings and helping to introduce the world to the practice of binge watching.

The two's successful symbiotic relationship is now being extended with the upcoming Breaking Bad  Better Call Saul. Netflix and Breaking Badproducer Sony Pictures Television have closed a deal for the spinoff series for all of the streaming service's territories. In the U.S. and Canada, the complete first season of Saul will be available to Netflix members after its season finale on AMC Networks in 2014.

Start your advent calendars now, people. [Deadline]
