Endo International, with U.S. headquarters in Malvern, announced Friday that it will close its manufacturing and distribution facilities in Huntsville, Ala.

About 875 jobs will be lost, including 35 open positions. No jobs or operations will be impacted in Malvern, where 600 work, a company spokeswoman said. Endo will transfer products made in Huntsville, primarily generic medicines including hydrocodone/APAP, oxycodone, oxybutynin, prednisone, and methylprednisolone, to its other manufacturing sites.
