Ardmore native Benj Pasek has won his second  Golden Globe, for "This Is Me" from The Greatest Showman, a musical about P.T. Barnum.

Pasek, a Friends Central grad, won last year for "City of Stars" from La La Land. He and writing partner Justin Paul also won an Oscar for that song. They are favored to be Oscar-nominated for "This Is Me," as well.

Pasek thanked "the annoyingly handsome Hugh Jackman," who stars as Barnum, as well as performer Keala Settle who plays Lettie Lutz, a bearded lady.

Pasek also thanked audiences who are going to see musicals on the big screen again.

Pasek and Paul had an excellent 2017. Along with the Golden Globe and Oscar, they took home the Tony for best musical for Dear Evan Hansen, their hit musical based on a student Pasek went to Friends Central with. Looks like his 2018 will be just as good.
