The Ardensingers will present Gilbert & Sullivan's operetta about the stong-willed title character's stand against her arranged marriage. Princess Ida chooses to ignore the marriage contract and lock herself away among her supporters at the women's university that she runs. Her betrothed, Prince Hilarion, vows to win her love by infiltrating the university disguised as a new female student, while his father tries to use military force to make the marriage take place. Nick Lazzarini, winner of Fox Television's "So You Think You Can Dance" will perform with the Brandywine Ballet Company at its Spring 2007 show.
