Fireworks and fountains
The "Celebrate America" fireworks and fountain display at Longwood Gardens on Sunday will illuminate the night sky with a spectacular fireworks program accompanied by a beautiful fountain water show and the sounds of patriotic music. All-day admission to the gardens, which boast a treehouse exhibit and indoor and outdoor children's gardens, is included with show tickets. Visit

Devon Horse Show
A tradition for 112 years, the Devon Horse Show and County Fair attracts competitors and spectators from all over the world. The 11-day event combines exciting riding events with the charm of an old-time county fair. Children of all ages will enjoy amusements such as the Ferris wheel and the carousel as well as game booths, sweets and treats, shopping and raffle prizes. 'A Little Princess'

A Little Princess - The Musical
, a delightful family performance based on the classic novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett. The story centers around Sara Crewe, a student at Miss Minchin's seminary who learns of the death of her father and a large inheritance he left for her. Parents Without Partners picnic
Single parents may enjoy a day outdoors with the kids while opening up the opportunity to meet and interact with other families at a family picnic organized by Parents Without Partners. Among the activities planned for the Memorial Day weekend picnic are volleyball, softball, and other sports as well as children's contests and activities.
