Thanksgiving Day slaying victim ID'd

A 21-year-old man shot dead in Kensington Thanksgiving morning was identified Friday as Ryan Kelly, a resident of the street where he was slain.

Officers responding to a call for a man with a gun found Kelly shot once in the chest on the 3500 block of Almond Street about 5:10 a.m. Thursday.

Kelly, who lived on the 3600 block, was taken to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:31 a.m., police said.

Investigators have not reported a possible motive in the slaying.
