On the market: A two-bedroom condo near Rittenhouse Square for $485,000
The 1,157-square-foot condo is perfect for entertaining and has space for a king-size bed.
What drew Bess Denney to the condo near Rittenhouse Square was not that different from what draws large numbers of single professionals to the neighborhood every year.
“I wanted to work in the city,” says Denney, who moved up from her native Wilmington in January 2020: “The great restaurants, the farmers’ market, the arts festival, walkability.”
But now, seeking a new experience in a different neighborhood, she is moving to a larger house in Queen Village.
The building housing the Belgravia Condominiums was originally commissioned as the Belgravia Hotel in 1902 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Denney, who works in marketing and advertising, said she found the two-bedroom, 2½-bath corner unit particularly suitable for entertaining.
She has set up the living/dining rooms as a full-time dining room/entertainment zone, and the second bedroom as her living room.
The primary bedroom has large windows with deep sills, a double-door closet with a custom organizer, and room for a king-size bed, a dresser and nightstands.
The en suite bath has a new, full-size Samsung Steam HE washer and dryer, a tub/shower combo, and a vanity with ample storage space.
The other full bath has a large walk-in shower with glass doors, and a single sink vanity with storage. All the bathrooms have marble tiles.
The galley-style kitchen has stainless steel appliances, including a new Frigidaire dishwasher, granite countertops, a breakfast bar, and pendant lights.
The water heater was installed in 2020 and Denney installed an Ecobee Smart Thermostat
The Belgravia has a front desk with 24-hour security, and a fitness center.
The 1,157-square-foot unit is listed by Stephanie Saracini of RE/MAX One Realty for $485,000.
