Manager of Five Below in Bucks County charged with sex assault of employee
Edward Eisenhard, 37, of Hellertown, was arrested on Thursday and remained in custody, court records show.
The manager of a Five Below store in Bucks County was charged with sexually assaulting one of his employees, police said Monday.
Edward Eisenhard, 37, of Hellertown, was arrested on Thursday and remained in custody because he was unable to post 10% of the $200,000 bail set in his case, court records show.
According to the criminal complaint, the alleged sexual assault of a female employee happened last week on Sunday, Sept. 27, inside the Five Below store in the Souderton section of Hilltown Township, Police Chief Christopher E. Engelhart confirmed on Monday.
The woman was working in the store that evening when Eisenhard told her to help clean the stockroom, investigators said. He allegedly made lewd comments toward her, restrained her, then sexually assaulted her.
Eisenhard allegedly asked later, “How was your Sunday night?” then laughed and said, “My Sunday night was really good.”
The employee told police Eisenhard allegedly pushed her into a table and said, “This table is sturdy,” but she was able to get away and call her partner.
After the woman reported the incident, the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office recorded a call between her and Eisenhard in which he allegedly admitted his wrongdoing and apologized.
“Did I ask for any of this?” the employee said, and Eisenhard allegedly replied, “No and that is why I am apologizing for it.”
A spokesperson for Five Below could not be reached for comment Monday.
