An ATV driver ran a red light in North Philadelphia and crashed into an Uber on Saturday night, leaving the ATV operator dead and the Uber driver hospitalized, police said.

The 22-year-old behind the wheel of the ATV was driving the wrong way down a one-way street before the collision at the intersection of 15th and Thompson streets, according to police.

A gray Toyota, carrying a 35-year-old Uber driver and four passengers, all juveniles, was turning right onto 15th Street, police said, when the ATV coming from the opposite direction struck the driver’s-side door.

The ATV driver — whom police did not identify — was pronounced dead at 9:53 p.m. The Uber driver was in stable condition at Temple University Hospital, while the four passengers were all taken to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for treatment.

Police continue to investigate.
