ChildrenSong of New Jersey takes its holiday show home to Haddonfield with a performance at the First Presbyterian Church, 20 Kings Highway East. The choral music education group, which has been performing all over the region this season, serves children ages 7 1/2 to 16 in Camden, Burlington and Gloucester Counties. $10 in advance through the Web or by phone, or $12 at the door. Play auditions
Haddonfield Plays & Players holds auditions for the winter 2008 production of
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
today and tomorrow. This is an open call; no appointments are necessary. Production dates are Feb. 21-March 8. The play, by Dale Wasserman, is an adaptation of Ken Kesey's seminal 1960s novel. The cast calls for 13 men and 4 women, ages 21 and older. Auditions will be held at the Haddonfield Plays & Players Theatre, 957 E. Comedy for a cause
Laugh for a reason during the Comedy for a Cause show at the Ritz Comedy Club, 915 White Horse Pike, Haddon Township. Holly festival
Checkout Greenfield Hall, a refurbished 1900s mansion filled with colonial china, furniture and other articles during the Holly Festival and Holiday House Tour. Madrigals theatre
Visit the music and magic of the Renaissance during the Haddonfield Memorial High School Madrigals Stage Annual Dessert Theatre on Friday and Saturday. The Madrigal Singers will entertain at their Royal Court in the theatre of the Grace Church, 19 Kings Highway East, Haddonfield. Featuring songs and dances of the season, there will be a "masque" comedy, a wassail toast, the regal presentation of the Boar's Head, and an elegant dessert buffet. The 23 singers appear in magnificent period costumes as they present madrigal songs, pieces of vocal music that originated in Italy and England in the early 16th century. $10 for evening performance and $8 for matinee. 7 p.m. Friday. 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday 856-427-4354.
