Night at the Museum

at the Burlington County Library on Friday. Ben Stiller stars in this film along with Robin Williams and Dick Van Dyke. It is the story of Larry, a man who is hired as night watchman at the Museum of Natural History, where he discovers that an ancient curse brings all the exhibits to life after the sun sets. Larry finds himself face to face with a T-Rex skeleton, tiny armies of Romans and cowboys, and a mischievous monkey who taunts him to the breaking point. The film runs 105 minutes and is rated PG. Registration is not required.

Healthy Kids Day. The YMCA of Burlington County celebrates fitness at Healthy Kids Day today. This is a nationwide celebration that teaches how important physical activity is and how it can be fun for the whole family. The day is sponsored by the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and Virtua Health. Kids can challenge themselves on a rock-climbing wall, get their faces painted, or hang out with the Riversharks' Finley. Entertainment will be provided by Radio Disney. There will be healthful refreshments, car-seat safety checks, exhibits from local police, EMS and fire departments, and more.

Cinco de Mayo. Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with the Garden State Discovery Museum on Saturday. Learn more about this Mexican holiday and the Spanish language with the help of high school Spanish Club students as well as representatives from the Kinderlanguage program offered at the museum. Kinderlanguage is a way to introduce children to Spanish through songs, games, stories and crafts.
