Battleship New Jersey
All guests touring the Battleship New Jersey will get Six Flags Great Adventure coupons and can register to win free Six Flags passes, which will be given away throughout the day. Firepower Tours take guests up close to the ship's Weapons systems, guided tours and self-guided tours will be available as well. Visitors can climb inside the 16-inch gun turrets, explore the Combat Engagement Centers, and experience where the officers and crew of this floating city ate and slept. A showing of the film Blue Vinyl, The World's First Toxic Comedy will be shown at the Deptford Municipal Building, 1011 Cooper St.. Filmmakers Judith Helfand and Daniel B. Gold use humor in the search for the environmental truth about vinyl. The film is sponsored by Art Films in Deptford, and Old Pine Natural Land Trust. Refreshments will be available. Dames at Sea
The Ritz Theatre Company presents Dames at Sea through June 2 at the Ritz Theatre, 915 White Horse Pike, Haddon Township. Set in New York City, the play is about a Broadway musical that is in rehearsal with leading lady Mona, chorus girl Joan, and stage manager Hennesy. Voted best musical by Time, Look, Newsweek and The New York Post, this camp musical has had two successful New York runs.
