Beloff a man of honor
In a taped conversation between two Philadelphia judges targeted in an FBI case-fixing investigation, former Common Pleas Court Judge Adam Beloff's name came up ("On tape, another judge is discussed," Friday).
Beloff, who has not been publicly associated with the investigation, was a man of impeccable character. He was a charitable, hardworking attorney who cared deeply about his clients. As a judge, he was fair, judicious, and treated attorneys and litigants with the dignity and respect befitting the highest standards of judicial canons. No one who appeared before him would accuse him of salacious and abhorrent conduct.
I am proud to have called Beloff my friend, and his passing in 2012 was a loss for our courts and our city.
