Day two of Mark Dial's murder trial continues with questioning of expert witness

As family members and supporters of Eddie Irizarry rallied outside the courthouse Tuesday, prosecutors in the Mark Dial trial presented their sole expert witness, a professor at the University of South Carolina, who said that he did not believe Dial was justified when he killed Irizarry. He said Irizarry wasn't an imminent threat to the officer when he decided to open fire, but in a surprising turn, the professor said that he hadn't reviewed Pennsylvania's use of force laws when coming to that conclusion and instead based it on his own opinions and review of the video.
