15-year-old boy was critically injured in a Cobbs Creek e-bike crash

Another teen was also injured in the crash, when the e-bike disregarded a stop sign and collided with a Cadillac CTS in Cobbs Creek, police said.

Two teens remain hospitalized after their e-bike collided with a Cadillac early Sunday morning in West Philadelphia.

A 15-year-old boy, who was riding the e-bike with a passenger and whose name police did not release yet, was listed in critical condition.

Shortly after 1 a.m., the teens were riding westbound on Hazel Avenue, approaching 58th Street, when they disregarded a stop sign and collided with a red Cadillac CTS, police said.

Paramedics transported the 15-year-old e-bike operator to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where he was listed in critical condition, police said. His 16-year-old passenger, whose name police also did not release, was listed in stable condition.

The driver of the Cadillac, who remained at the scene, was not injured.

The crash remains under active investigation.
