Poll: Living up to the name 'snail mail'?
The U.S. Postal Service is talking about some pretty drastic cuts in service, including pushing back by a whole day the delivery of first-class letters - and maybe even stopping Saturday deliveries. The privately funded and operated service needs to trim $20 billion from its bottom line over the next few years. But will they be alienating the very customers needed to assure that the mail still goes through?
According to reports, the change would represent the first reduction in delivery standards for first-class mail in 40 years.
