Diesel price rises, gasoline steady overnight

The cost of a gallon of regular gasoline averaged $3.13 today in Philadelphia, and $2.94 in South Jersey, the auto club said.
The national average remained at $3.11 per gallon overnight.
Crude oil prices, meanwhile, rose today after slipping in the previous session to a two-week low on worries about the U.S. economy, the Associate Press reported.
Futures were also supported by expectations a midweek U.S. report on oil inventories would show crude stockpiles fell for the eighth straight week.
