Animal photo exhibit.
The Garden State Discovery Museum hosts a photo exhibit featuring animals at the Philadelphia Zoo that face extinction. The aptly named "A World Without" exhibit, photographed by Marianne Leone of Voorhees, portrays these creatures in eye-catching ways that a casual zoo visit may not reveal. The animals include the critically endangered Amur leopard, Western lowland gorilla and red panda, as well as the threatened local species the Pine Barrens tree frog. The museum will exhibit Leone's art until Sept. 14. There will be photo safaris for kids who want to learn more about photographing wildlife with Leone today. Reservations are required for the safaris.
Check out the Juggling Hoffmans at the West Deptford Library on Wednesday. Lois and Michael Hoffman perform slapstick comedy, silly stunts and amazing tricks. Registration is required.
The Adventure Aquarium and the Camden City Police Department are teaming once again to host Heroes Day today. Law enforcement officers, firefighters and EMS personnel from around the area explain their vehicles and equipment, and give safety demonstrations. Events also will involve SWAT teams, K-9 Units, police motorcycles, bomb squad robots, D.A.R.E. vehicles, and car seat safety inspections.
