A man whose body was found on the front lawn of a Northfield, N.J., house had been shot to death, authorities said Saturday.
The victim, identified as Franklin Dwayne Gant Smith, 52, was found about 11 a.m. Friday outside the house on Virginia Avenue, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.
The state Medical Examiner's Office ruled his death a homicide caused by a gunshot wound to the head, prosecutors said.
Authorities had no address for Smith, who also went by the name Kevin Charm, they said.
The prosecutor's office's major crimes unit and the Northfield Police Department were investigating on Saturday.
