(Movie) Now that dinosaurs are again running the Earth, three decades of Jurassic stars – Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern, and Sam Neill – seek a way for humans to co-exist with them. Or will one species become extinct? Directed by Colin Trevorrow (Jurassic World). (Rated PG-13. Premieres June 10 in theaters)

(Music / outdoors) This powerhouse Virginia vocal group was formed by Maggie Ingram in the 1960s, modeled after male gospel groups of the era such as the Soul Stirrers and Swan Silvertones. Ingram died in 2015, and the group is now fronted by her daughter Rev. Almeta Ingram-Miller and granddaughter Cheryl Maroney Beaver. Their rousing 2020 album Take A Look in the Book is fabulous. (Theater / community) Learn about Hatshepsut, the female pharaoh of Egypt whose successor completely erased her from history. After 3,000 years of erasure, this performance teaches about all of her accomplishments and underscores the importance of preserving stories. (Seasonal / music / outdoors / kid-friendly / free) Start your weekend with an infusion of art and culture at this fun outdoor festival. Philly Fusion, SnackTime, Bad Kitty, and more will take to the stage for live music sets. Three Aksha, Young Flames, Akuma Dance Ensemble, and other groups will also hit the stage to showcase their dance skills. (Museum / history / kid-friendly) It’s a packed weekend at the Museum of the American Revolution. Stop by for flag-themed craft making, storytelling, discovery carts and more all weekend long. (Shopping / art / community) More than 70 art and craft vendors head to Cherry Street Pier to showcase their unique creations. (Pride Month / fitness) The Philly Pride Run is back for the sixth time, and this year, there is a new route. The 5K is a chip-timed event with three top categories: female, non-binary, and male divisions (inclusive of people in wheelchairs). But if you prefer a shorter run, there will also be a non-timed one-mile run, with prizes for the top three most festive participants. This year, the Philly Pride Run is asking runners to make a direct donation to William Way Community Center, a nonprofit that provides food and supplies to LGBTQ seniors. (Music / outdoors / free) The virtual fundraiser for local non-profit 30 Amp Circuit from early in the pandemic returns as an in-person event on the Ben Franklin Parkway. Though it will also stream on nugs.net. Along with ‘Schoolly at 60,’ an appreciation of original gangsta rapper Schoolly D on his 60th birthday, the acts include West Philadelphia Orchestra, The Ultimates, Gospel Music Preservation Alliance, Jamaaladeen Tacuma Trio, Wallis, The Tisburys and the Philly School District Jazz All-Stars, plus Philadelphia Independent Film Festival screenings, and a free screening of Questlove’s Summer of Soul at 8 p.m. (Free, June 11, noon-10 p.m, 2451 Benjamin Franklin Pkwy., lovefromphilly.live)

(Music / outdoors) Centerfield at Citizens Bank Park will be a musically busy place this summer, with Motley Crue and Def Leppard, Dead and Co., Elton John and Red Hot Chili Peppers all coming though. This will be a more low-key affair with Avett brothers Scott and Seth and their Americana band playing their annual post-Phillies game concert that starts immediately after the Phils’ afternoon game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. (Music) Miranda Lambert stands among very few others as a woman in a bro-dominated mainstream country world who writes her own songs that subvert cliches and are unflinchingly personal while reaching a wide audience. Her excellent new songs-of-the-road album Palomino is the most recent example. She’s on the Bandwagon tour with her pals in the country-pop quartet Little Big Town. (Pride Month / history) Due to the constrictions of their time, many LGBTQ people couldn’t have their sexual orientation or gender identity registered in cemetery records or in their obituaries. That’s why Laurel Hill Cemetery is organizing a tour, guided by Pat Rose, to help tell the stories of its queer residents, including gay activists, lesbian artists, and more. (History / multiday / kid-friendly) Free admission for the first 100 visitors kicks off an eight-day deal, including the Ross house’s signature naturalization service on Flag Day (June 14, 9 a.m.), meet-and-greets with actors interpreting 18th-century women (June 16-19), a carnival of circus aerialists, magic, and games (June 18, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.), and a Juneteenth commemoration (June 19) with a portrayal of Henry “Box” Brown (10 a.m.-2 .p.m.) and the Philadelphia Heritage Chorale (3 p.m.). (Music / free) The love-him-or-hate-him subject of Penny Lane’s HBO documentary Listening To Kenny G is the biggest-selling jazz musician of all time. Things that live and happen on the ocean floor — five-foot-long tubeworms, thermal vents, giant clams, iconic shipwrecks — could inspire kids to become the next Cousteau (and likely inspire grown-ups to rewatch The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou). (Drinks / multiday) Center City’s Wednesday evening happy hours are back and boozier than ever. (Seasonal) You have to weigh at least 35 pounds to board a row, or swan- or dragon-shaped paddle boat docked on a manmade basin on the Delaware. (Keep in mind: A rowboat goes faster.)
