The M. Allan Vogelson Regional Branch Library in Voorhees will offer up to 50,000 books, CDs, videos and books-on-tape in its annual spring sale next weekend.
"It's one of the biggest library used-book sales in South Jersey. Typically people are lined up and waiting when the doors open," said branch manager William Brahms, who oversees the event.
Sale hours will be 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
About 90 percent of the items are donated by patrons, collectors and estates, with library materials making up the rest, Brahms said.
Typically 99 percent of the items are priced between 50 cents and $2, with nothing over $3, Brahms said.
The items will be organized by subject. The supply will be continually replenished during the two-day sale from the library's warehouse. There will be no preview.
All proceeds will support programs of the Camden County Library System.
The M. Allan Vogelson Regional Branch Library is located at 203 Laurel Rd. across from Voorhees Town Center (formerly the Echelon Mall). Directions can be found on the library website at www.camden.lib.nj.us
